Welcome to : From Overwhelmed toEmpowered™: The Caregiver’sUltimate Blueprint for Peace &Confidence. If you and your Loved One are new to the Dementia Journey or have been traveling for a while – this course is for you. This course provides dementia care in the form of advice, guidance, tools and tips. The information provided is based on my professional nursing experience caring for adult cardiac, dementia, medical-surgical, and rehab patients. It’s also based on the time I’ve spent providing care for my paternal grandmother and both parents. This course is about more than clinical knowledge. It’s about a deep and personal connection to, and gratitude for the things I learned when my journeys began.
The course provides hands-on information that you can begin using today. Overwhelm, communication concerns, safety, self-care and so much more are provided with clinical expertise and first-hand caregiver experience.
Let me introduce myself, I'm Deb James
MY EXPERTISE
Dementia Care - As a clinical nurse, I've served hundreds of patients with different dementia diagnoses. I helped my father take care of his mother, I helped take care of my father, and I took care of my mother in my home for nearly two years before she Transitioned in 2024. All 3 family members were diagnosed with Alzheimer's Dementia.
Holistic Health - I am a Board-Certified Holistic Nurse, recognized by the American Nursing Association as a nurse specialty. I've maintained this certification since 2010.
Cardiac Health - I worked as a cardiac step-down unit nurse for 15 years, monitoring telemetry (EKG signals) and serving as the medication nurse during "code Blues" anywhere in the hospital.
